Beneath a hollow tree,
I found an ornate key.
I could not spot
a matching box,
And so I left it be.
To home I had to walk,
My find had been forgot.
But then the key
called out to me,
I had to seek the box.
And so I traveled east,
My hope slowly decreased.
I saw a man,
with box in hand
I had to try, at least.
It opened with a squeak,
My worries did increase.
It sung a chord
of Forest Lord
that rules within the trees.
Beneath a loamy rock,
I found an ornate box.
I could not see
a matching key,
And so I left it locked.
I took it home with me,
Inside I had to see.
I had no shot
to force the lock,
I had to seek the key.
And so I traveled west,
Upon my noble quest.
A lass saw me,
She had the key!
We put it to the test.
It opened with a creak,
My worries were appeased.
The box did sing
of wooded King
who reigns beneath the leaves.
