Bio
I am an Assistant Professor of Management Science at ESMT Berlin, where I have been a faculty member since 2019. I earned my PhD in Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University.
My research focuses on addressing complex managerial issues in systems where organizational objectives may not align with the incentives of self-interested economic agents. My work spans a broad array of topics in both business and public domains, including online advertising platforms, contracting AI services, supply chain coordination, new product marketing, non-monetary resource allocation, confinement measures, and human-machine interactions.
My published works have appeared in prestigious journals such as Management Science, Operations Research, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and Production and Operations Management. I serve as an ad hoc reviewer for top-tier journals and have received service awards from Management Science and M&SOM. I actively engage in the academic community, having served as a program committee member for the ACM Conference on Economics and Computation and as a judge for various academic competitions, including the M&SOM Student Paper Competition and TIMES Best Working Paper Award. Beyond the academic community, my articles have also reached a broader audience through several press outlets.
