Isha Gupta
Welcome to my webpage
I am a Research Fellow at the India Development Foundation, Delhi. I am also affiliated with the Faculty of Economics and Administration, Masaryk University, Brno as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in economics. My main research interests encompass development economics, family economics, labour economics, and economics of education. I employ micro-econometric methods to study salient socioeconomic issues of policy interest with a particular focus on gender, fertility, human capital formation, child development, family, and discrimination.
I received my Ph.D. in Economics in December 2021 from the Department of Economics and Management 'Marco Fanno', University of Padova, Italy. During my Ph.D., I visited Boston University as a research scholar. Post Ph.D., I was a postdoctoral researcher on a project titled “Econometric analysis of household-level micro-data” at the University of Padova for a year from October 2021 to September 2022.
Apart from academia, I also have experience as a Data Scientist in IBM India for 2 years.
