Dr. Guoqing Diao is a Professor (with tenure) in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at The George Washington University. He received his doctoral training in Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and won the Barry H. Margolin Dissertation Award in 2006. His research focuses on the development of statistical methods for the designs and analyses of biomedical and public health studies. His current research areas include semiparametric models, precision medicine, survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, high-dimensional data analysis, and computational probability. His applied work includes the areas of genetics, disability and rehabilitation, and policing and criminology. His research was/is funded by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and industry.
