I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1965 and moved to Bariloche in 1986. I studied Physics at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and at the Instituto Balseiro, Bariloche. I hold a Physicist degree and a Ph.D. in Physics from this last. After three years of postdocs at ICTP, Trieste (of which I was also an Associate Fellow in more recent years) and MPIPKS, Dresden, I returned to Bariloche in 1999. Presently I work in the Statistical Physics Group, at Centro Atómico Bariloche, as a CONICET researcher (Investigador Principal) and Professor of Instituto Balseiro. I have also enjoyed long research visits to the Consortium of the Americas for Interdisciplinary Science, at the University of New Mexico.
