Welcome to my Webpage
I am a Consultant Economist at the World Bank Group, based in Washington, DC.
As an environmental and development economist, my research tackles key issues related to environmental risk, consumer decisions, climate change, non-market valuation, and pollution. I work on projects in the United States, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan, focusing on using causal inference, spatial econometrics, and economic theory to provide evidence that informs climate resilience and sustainable development policies.
Before joining the World Bank, I earned my M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Resource Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science and Forestry from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Nugegoda, Sri Lanka.
