The mood of access is open shelves for our community. Users can directly go to the shelves, pick up books and read within the library.
Our academic community can get on-campus access to e-resources from any computer under the university network since all e-resources are IP-based.
The GUB e-library is accessible online. Users can get access and download e-books ensuring a prior registration.
Faculty members can get access to e-resources remotely through their official computers using the ‘ANYDESK’ application and University networks.
Users can search books on the Library Catalogue, pick the call number and find the location of the books using the call number since call numbers are generated following alphabetical order.
They can search the ‘Shelves Index’ that briefs the subjects and shelves’ number accordingly. For example, English language related books are shelved in 14,15 and 16.
They can also request library personnel to find out required books.
Users can search e-books and e-journals on publishers’ websites and the GUB e-library. All e-resources’ links are attached on the website.
A block on your library account prevents you from borrowing or requesting library materials. Existing loans will not auto-renew. A block may be applied when:
You have overdue 50 taka or more
You have overdue items that are declared “lost” (30 days overdue)
You have a sanction for an outstanding debt applied by the Student System.
Green University students can borrow up to 4 items including books, journals.
