Biography:
I am an associate professor of Statistics and Probability with a joint appointment in Computational Mathematics, Science and Engineering at Michigan State University. Prior joining Michigan State University in 2023, I was on the faculty of Auburn University (2012-2023). I hold a Ph.D. degree in Statistics from Michigan State University (2012), supervised by Prof. Lijian Yang and Prof. David Todem. Working at the interface of statistics, mathematics, and computer science, I am interested in developing cutting-edge statistical methods for solving issues related to data science and big data analytics. The methods I developed have a wide application in engineering, neuroimaging, environmental studies, and biomedical science. I am an Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute (2022).
