2023 'Dogs Portal Tracker

The transfer portal is all the rage in today's college football (yes, quite literally, rage!). Fans from all over the landscape of college football seem to be disappointed by the way the portal is being used by players as well as the lack of governance by the NCAA. Many fans believe it to be a free-for-all NIL money grab; However, that can't be said for all transfers. Many guys are just looking to move up the ladder and make a name for themselves, some move from G5 to P5 to showcase their ability to hang with the big dogs, and others might be going from P5 to G5, for development or simply to gain playing time.

Last year, Fresno State lost some quality players to the transfer portal. Guys like wide receiver Josh Kelly (Washington State), defensive back Evan Williams (Oregon), and defensive lineman Leonard Payne Jr. (Colorado) all made immediate impacts on their new teams.

Although it hurts to lose such important talent, the portal works both ways. Last year, Fresno State added guys like quarterback Mikey Keene (UCF), wide receiver Jaelen Gill (Boston College), and linebacker Tuasivi Nomura (USC).

As of now, a total of EIGHT Bulldogs have entered their names into the portal.
