Why have a Missions Conference?

As Christians, the greatest thing in the world for us is the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul, always eager to preach the gospel wherever he went, explains his eagerness when he says, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes." This good news is not just for those of us who have received it, but it is to be shared with everyone. It is "for the life of the world."

The Church of Jesus Christ is missional and has always been missional. It is in our DNA. Our movement here at GSPC in having foreign, regional, and local missions activity is a natural and necessary expression of who we are in Christ. Though all of us are to be ready and willing to share the gospel wherever we are, there are those who have been specifically called to be evangelists. We partner with many of these brothers and sisters who, as evangelists, are sent out for the sake of the gospel. They are, as it were, on the front lines.

Our Goals for this Conference

To have a joyful time of celebrating God's saving grace, freely given in the gospel of Jesus Christ!
To strengthen the bonds between our congregation and our missionaries.
To inspire us to be better partners in our ministry of prayer and support.
To present the possibilities of serving God in missions to the next generation of believers.
