黃崇源博士(1970年8月13日生)曾擔任多項職務,包括大學教授、資訊科學家、醫療中心研究員及上市公司獨立董事。黃博士目前居住在臺北市萬華區,曾任中國科技大學資訊工程學系講師(2000-2005年)、元培醫科大學資訊工程學系助理教授兼系主任(2005-2006年)、長庚紀念醫院神經內科合聘研究員。自2006年起,他擔任長庚大學資訊工程學系正教授,同時兼任人工智慧學程與研究所、人工智慧研究中心合聘教授等職務。


作為一個12歲兒子的父親,黃博士是臺北市家長會長協會成員。他現任所羅門集團第十二屆董事會獨立董事、臺北市老松小學學生家長會第三十二屆和第三十三屆會長、臺北市小學家長會聯合會第二十二屆常務委員、臺北市學校活化工作小組副召集人。他在這些公立學校委員會和組織中所做的努力,反映了黃博士與臺北市萬華區的長期聯繫和對萬華區的承諾,他在萬華區長大,目前居住在這裡。


1985年,他考入中國工商專校電子資料處理科,在全職工作的同時,經過七年半工半讀完成了學士學位。畢業後,他在澎湖防衛司令部服完兩年義務兵役,然後在宇博電腦(臺灣)有限公司擔任了四年(1994-98年)的軟體工程師。1998年,他被新竹國立交通大學計算機資訊科學所錄取,並在該校獲得碩士學位(2000年)和博士學位(2005年)。在攻讀博士學位期間,他曾擔任中國技術大學湖口校區資訊工程學系的專任講師。2006年,他被授予中華民國斐陶斐學會學術榮譽會員資格。獲得博士學位後,黃崇源在元培醫科大學資訊工程學系擔任了一年的專任助理教授,併兼任系主任和該校生物醫學資訊技術學群的副執行長。自2006年起,黃博士擔任長庚大學資訊工程學系專任助理教授,兼任資訊中心教學服務組組長。2010年晉陞為副教授,2015年晉陞為正教授。自2019年8月起,他在長庚紀念醫院神經內科擔任聯合聘任研究員。


黃博士目前的研究興趣包括複雜系統計算建模與模擬、社會建模與模擬及流行病傳播動力學。他的研究結合了遺傳演算法、學習分類系統、複雜網絡分析等人工智慧方面的最新研究成果。他的第一篇學術論文(關於SARS遏制政策的有效性)發表在2004年的學術期刊JASSS上。此後,他發表了134篇研究論文,其中43篇被SCI/SSCI收錄,49篇發表在國際會議論文集上,10篇發表在書籍章節中,32篇發表在國內會議論文和大眾報紙專欄文章中。根據Google Scholar的統計,截至2024年2月,他發表的論文被引用873次(其中25篇每篇被引用10次以上),h-index為17。

Brief Biography

The many roles played by Chung-Yuan Huang, Ph.D. (b. August 13, 1970) include university professor, information science researcher, medical center research fellow, and independent director of a publicly listed company. Currently residing in the central Wanhua District of Taipei, Dr. Huang has served as a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at China University of Technology (2000-2005), assistant professor and department head in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at Yuanpei University of Medical Technology (2005-2006), and joint-appointment research fellow in the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Department of Neurology. Since 2006 he has been a full professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at Chang Gung University, concurrently holding positions in the Artificial Intelligence undergraduate program and research institute, and the Artificial Intelligence Research Center.

The father of a 12-year-old son, Dr. Huang is a member of what is known in Taiwan as a local parents’ president association. He is serving as an independent director for the 12th board of the Solomon Group, as president for the 32nd and 33rd sessions of the Parents’ Association at Lao Song Elementary School (Taipei), as the 22nd standing committee member for the Federation of Taipei Elementary School Parents Association, and as deputy convener for the Taipei School Activation Work Group. His efforts with these public-school committees and organizations reflect Dr. Huang’s long association with and commitment to the Wanhua District of Taipei, where he was raised and currently resides.

In 1985 he was admitted to the Department of Electronic Data Processing at China Junior College of Technology and Commerce, completing his bachelor's degree over seven years of part-time study while working full-time. After graduating he completed two years of mandatory military service at the Penghu Defense Command Headquarters, and then worked for four years (1994-98) as a software engineer at IPACS Computer and Service (Taiwan) Ltd. In 1998 he was accepted into the Department of Computer Information Science of National Chiao Tung University in Hsinchu, where he earned his master’s (2000) and doctoral degrees (2005). During his doctoral studies he served as a full-time lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at the Hukou campus of China University of Technology. In 2006 he was awarded membership in the Republic of China Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society. After receiving his Ph.D., Chung-Yuan spent one year as a full-time assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at Yuanpei University of Medical Technology, also serving as department head and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the school’s Biomedical Information Technology Cluster. Since 2006, Dr. Huang has been a full-time assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at Chang Gung University, and head of the university’s Computer Center Instructional Services Group. He was promoted to associate professor in 2010 and full professor in 2015. Since August 2019 he has fulfilled a joint appointment as a researcher in the Department of Neurology at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Huang’s current research interests include computational modeling and simulation of complex systems, social modeling and simulation, and epidemic transmission dynamics. His research increasingly incorporates the latest findings in genetic algorithms, learning classifier systems, complex network analysis, and other aspects of artificial intelligence. His first academic paper (on the effectiveness of SARS containment policies) appeared in a 2004 edition of the Journal of Artificial Societies and Social Simulation. Since then, he has published 134 research papers, including 43 indexed by SCI/SSCI, 49 in international conference proceedings, 10 book chapters, and 32 domestic conference papers and mass-circulation newspaper op-eds. According to Google Scholar, as of February 2024 his publications have been cited 873 times (25 of them more than ten times each), with an h-index of 17.
