Design Process

We created the design of the final bridge on Autodesk inventor, and it was the perfect design, without any mistakes or deficiencies.  At the start of our build, we found out that the bridge rested on two table instead of on the floor, so our design had to be completely modified. Before, we used arches to distribute the weight of the bridge between the pillars. Afterwards, we used triangle bases instead. As we continued to build the bridge, slight deficiencies started to appear on the bridge, so the online design had to be modified according to reality.  Our base design was constantly changed because group ideas did not coincide. 

Summary and explanation of civil engineering and building science

Civil engineering is the profession of designing structural works made for the general public. This profession includes soil mechanics, water transportation, public transportation, and bridge design.  Professions such as materials engineering and mechanical engineering are incorporated in this profession. Instead of working for a privately owned company, you work for the government in order to better the lives of the nation's citizens. One must learn physics and chemistry in order to excel in this career.  Building science in incorporated in civil engineering, as civil engineers assist in designing houses/
