If you want a secure, sealed-in audio experience with advanced noise cancellation for focused video calls, choose Groovz True; if you need an open-ear design that keeps you aware of your surroundings while running or working in shared spaces, choose otinsile M97.
• Groovz True: Offers 27 hours of total battery life and active noise cancellation but requires an in-ear fit that some find tiring over long sessions. Best for users prioritizing call clarity and immersive sound isolation.
• otinsile M97: Delivers a featherlight 5g open-ear design with 50 hours of playtime and Bluetooth 6.0 stability, though it sacrifices deep bass and environmental isolation. Best for runners, glasses wearers, and those who need situational awareness during video calls.
The Groovz True wireless earbuds are engineered for the user who demands a traditional, immersive listening experience without the clutter of wires. Designed and engineered in the USA, these earbuds utilize a dynamic driver system with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz to deliver high-definition audio. The key differentiator here is the dual microphone setup featuring advanced noise reduction. This hardware specification suggests that for professional use, specifically for headband headphones for video calls where voice clarity is paramount, the Groovz True aims to filter out background chatter effectively. If you work from home or travel frequently, the ability to navigate playlists and answer calls via smart touch controls adds a layer of convenience that supports a seamless workflow.
However, the in-ear form factor comes with inherent trade-offs. While the package includes three ear tip sizes (S, M, L) to ensure a snug fit, not every ear shape accommodates an in-ear device comfortably for extended periods. The IPx4 water resistance rating indicates they can handle sweat and light rain, making them suitable for workouts, but the primary design philosophy leans toward audio fidelity and communication rather than open-air safety. The battery life is robust, offering up to 27 hours of total playtime with 22 hours provided by the charging case and 5 hours per charge on the buds themselves. This longevity ensures you won't be tethered to a power outlet during a long day of meetings or travel.

You should buy the Groovz True if your priority is isolating yourself from a noisy environment to focus on a conference call or to lose yourself in music. The inclusion of Active Noise Cancellation and the directional audio technology implies a product built for concentration. Conversely, if you prefer to hear your colleagues talking around you or need to stay alert to traffic while commuting, this sealed design might feel too restrictive. The Magenta color option and the LED Battery Display on the case add personality and practical utility, allowing you to check your remaining charge in real-time without guessing. Ultimately, this product fits the user who values premium sound depth and reliable call performance over all-day ear comfort.
The otinsile M97 takes a completely different approach by abandoning the in-ear seal for an open-ear, clip-on design. At just 4 grams in weight (with the entire unit weighing 5g), these are among the lightest options available, designed specifically to prevent ear fatigue during marathon wear. The ergonomic C-shaped hook provides a secure fit that adapts to various ear sizes without putting pressure on the ear canal. This makes them an ideal choice for individuals who wear glasses, as traditional earbuds often cause discomfort when pressed against frames. The open-ear architecture allows for 360° environmental awareness, meaning you can enjoy music while still hearing the world around you. This feature is particularly valuable for outdoor enthusiasts, runners, or anyone who needs to remain connected to their immediate physical surroundings while on a wireless headset for video calls.
Sound quality on the M97 is delivered through 12mm dynamic drivers using Directional Audio Technology. This engineering minimizes sound leakage, ensuring privacy even in quiet offices, while maintaining studio-quality mids and highs. However, because there is no seal to create an isolated chamber, the bass response will naturally be less powerful than sealed models. The battery performance is exceptional, boasting a staggering 50 hours of total playtime with a quick-charge capability that offers two extra hours of listening from just a 10-minute charge. The Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity ensures a stable connection up to 33 feet with low latency, which is crucial for syncing audio with video content during streaming or gaming. The IPX5 waterproof rating further solidifies its suitability for intense gym sessions or rainy commutes.
This product is best suited for the user who prioritizes comfort and safety above absolute sound isolation. If you are looking for the best wireless headphones for video calls in a setting where you need to monitor your environment—like a busy coffee shop or a home office with children—the M97 excels. You should skip this model if you require deep, thumping bass or if you need to block out loud construction noise entirely. The "off white" aesthetic and the compact carrying case (measuring 6.4 cm x 3 cm x 5 cm) make it easy to carry anywhere. The 1-year warranty provides peace of mind regarding durability, and the AI touch control simplifies operation. It is a device built for movement, awareness, and all-day wearability rather than pure acoustic immersion.
• Best for battery life → otinsile M97: With 50 hours of total playtime compared to Groovz True's 27 hours, the M97 lasts significantly longer between charges.
• Best for call isolation → Groovz True: The dual microphones with active noise cancellation provide superior voice clarity in busy environments compared to the open-ear design of the M97.
• Best for glasses wearers → otinsile M97: The open-ear, clip-on design eliminates pressure on temple arms, whereas in-ear buds can cause friction with eyewear.
• Best for immersive music → Groovz True: The sealed in-ear fit and dynamic drivers offer deeper bass and a more focused soundstage than the open-ear M97.
• Best for situational awareness → otinsile M97: The open-ear design allows you to hear ambient noise, making it safer for outdoor activities and better for open-office collaboration.
• Best for quick charging → otinsile M97: A mere 10-minute charge yields 2 hours of playback, whereas the Groovz True relies on a full charge cycle for maximum benefit.
• Best for connectivity stability → otinsile M97: Featuring Bluetooth 6.0, it offers a wider range and lower latency compared to the Bluetooth 5.3 found in the Groovz True.
• Best for rugged outdoor use → otinsile M97: The IPX5 rating and secure hook design make it more resistant to heavy sweat and falling out during intense activity than the IPx4 Groovz True.
After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases, I would personally choose the otinsile M97 for my daily routine, especially when I am using a wireless headset for video calls in a shared workspace. The combination of its featherlight 4-gram weight, the 50-hour battery life, and the ability to stay aware of my surroundings makes it the more versatile tool for modern life. While the Groovz True offers excellent sound isolation, the open-ear design of the M97 prevents the fatigue that often comes with wearing sealed earbuds for eight hours straight. If your primary goal is to stay connected to the world while enjoying clear audio and uninterrupted calls, the M97 is the superior choice.
Both products have features for calls, but the Groovz True uses active noise cancellation and dual microphones specifically designed to isolate your voice in busy environments. The otinsile M97 uses directional audio to minimize leakage but does not block outside noise, making it better for quiet to moderate settings.
The otinsile M97 is the clear winner for endurance, offering 50 hours of total playtime with a quick-charge feature. The Groovz True provides 27 hours, which is sufficient for most days but falls short of the M97's marathon capabilities.
The otinsile M97 features a secure C-shaped hook and weighs only 5 grams, making it highly unlikely to slip during intense workouts. The Groovz True relies on silicone ear tips for retention, which may require adjustments depending on your ear shape during vigorous movement.
The Groovz True offers a more traditional, immersive sound with deeper bass due to its sealed design. The otinsile M97 delivers clear mids and highs with natural soundstage but lacks the sub-bass punch of sealed models because of its open-ear architecture.
