Grocery Predator is designed to help users track recurring grocery and household purchases and predict when items may need restocking.
Information We Do Not Collect
Grocery Predator does not require an account. We do not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal information. We do not operate a server that receives your grocery records, product photos, barcode entries, purchase history, or backup files.
Information Stored on Your Device
The app may store the following information locally on your device:
- Product names
- Brand names
- Product categories
- Barcode numbers
- Purchase dates
- Package sizes and quantities
- Store notes entered by the user
- Product photos or thumbnails selected by the user
- Prediction-related purchase history
This information is used only to provide app features such as product tracking, purchase history, backup/export, and restock prediction.
Camera and Photo Library
Grocery Predator may request access to the camera to scan barcodes and take product photos. The app may request access to the photo library so you can choose product images.
Photos are used only for the features selected by the user. They are stored locally on the device and are not uploaded to our servers.
Text Recognition
The app may use on-device text recognition to help users identify product names or brand names from photos. This processing is used only to populate product information in the app.
Backups
The app may allow users to export or import backup files. Backup files are created only when the user chooses to export them. Users are responsible for where they save or share exported backup files.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.
Children’s Privacy
Grocery Predator is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
