Yu Tse Heng

Yu Tse Heng is an Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce. She earned her PhD in Organizational Behavior at the University of Washington Foster School of Business. Her research program uncovers ways in which we can humanize the workplace by acknowledging, appreciating, and wherever possible, harnessing employees' full humanity. Specifically, her work explores (a) the role of self- and other-compassion in alleviating suffering at work, (b) the grief-work interface, and (c) dimensions of employees' personal lives that are ignored in the workplace.

Jessi Hinz

Jessi Hinz is a lecturer at Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management. She earned her PhD in Management at the same institution. Her research focuses on the intersection of positive relationships at work and positive identity development. In particular, Jessi is interested in how people grow through their relationships at work. Her research has explored growth which stems from positive events (e.g., receiving gratitude, engaging in a coaching relationship, listening) as well as negative events (e.g., personal loss).
