Privacy Policy for GridTactics

This Privacy Policy explains how GridTactics ("the App", "the Game") handles information when you download and play the game. GridTactics has been built with a privacy-first approach: it does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not include advertising or tracking software of any kind.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
GridTactics does not collect, request, or store any of the following:
Your name, email address, phone number, or physical address
Photos, contacts, camera, or microphone data
Precise or approximate location data
Payment or financial information (the App contains no in-app purchases)
User-generated content, chat messages, or social media identifiers
Advertising identifiers used for cross-app tracking
The App does not contain any advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or social login features. There is no account creation, sign-in, or registration step anywhere in the App.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
To let you keep your progress between sessions, GridTactics stores a small amount of gameplay data locally on your device only, using the Android/iOS standard local-storage mechanism (SharedPreferences). This data includes:
Your best wave reached
Your accumulated "Data Cores" (an in-game currency)
Your "Starting Capital" meta-upgrade level
This information:
Never leaves your device
Is never transmitted to any server operated by the developer
Is not linked to your identity in any way
Is automatically deleted if you uninstall the App or manually clear the App's storage/data from your device settings
3. Third-Party Services Used by the App
GridTactics relies on the following third-party components solely to operate core functionality. These components are provided by Google and are governed by Google's own privacy terms:
Google Play In-App Update (Play Core Library): The App checks with the Google Play Store to see if a newer version is available and, if so, prompts an update. This check is performed through Google Play services on your device and may involve standard Google Play Store communication (such as your Google Play account/device identifiers already known to Google Play). The developer does not receive any data from this process. See Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy for details on how Google Play services handle this information.
Google Fonts: The App uses the Google Fonts library to render text in a custom typeface. Depending on your device's cached state, this may involve a one-time network request to Google's font delivery servers to download the font file, which is then cached locally on your device for future use. This request may expose your device's IP address to Google's font servers, consistent with standard web font delivery. No gameplay data is included in this request.
No other network requests, ad networks, or analytics platforms are integrated into GridTactics.
4. Data Sharing
Because GridTactics does not collect personal data, there is no personal data for the developer to sell, rent, or share with third parties. The only data that leaves your device is the minimal, non-personal technical communication described in Section 3, which is handled directly between your device and Google's own infrastructure — not by the developer.
5. Children's Privacy
GridTactics is a general-audience strategy game and is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information from any user at all. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please note that no such collection mechanism exists within the App itself.
6. Data Security
All gameplay data is stored locally within the App's private, sandboxed storage area, which is protected by the security features of your device's operating system (Android/iOS app sandboxing). Because no personal or gameplay data is transmitted to external servers controlled by the developer, there is no server-side data store to be breached.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are always in full control of it:
Access: You can view your current progress at any time within the App.
Deletion: You can permanently delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the App or by clearing the App's storage/cache through your device's system settings.
No account to delete: Because no account or server-side profile exists, there is nothing further to request for deletion from the developer.
8. International Users
GridTactics can be played worldwide. Because no personal data is collected or transmitted by the developer, there are no cross-border personal data transfer concerns arising from use of the App itself, beyond the standard operation of the Google Play Store and Google Fonts services described above, which are subject to Google's own global privacy safeguards.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the App's functionality or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
