Gridchoke for Android
Last updated: 25 August 2026
Gridchoke does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. It has no internet access. Nothing you do in the game leaves your device.
The game saves a small amount of state locally, in Android's standard app preferences storage:
High scores for each mode, and your Daily Trap results for the last 14 days
Lifetime statistics: runs played, chains cleared, longest chain, peak heat
Which achievements you have unlocked
Your sound, music and haptics settings
That is the complete list. There is no account, no profile, no identifier of any kind, and no way for us to see any of it.
No ads and no advertising SDKs
No analytics, telemetry or crash reporting
No third-party libraries that phone home
No location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or file access
No in-app purchases
The app requests exactly one Android permission, VIBRATE, used for the haptic feedback you can switch off in Settings. It does not hold the INTERNET permission, so it is technically incapable of sending data anywhere.
If you have Android's built-in backup enabled in your device settings, the operating system may include the app's local preferences file in your Google account backup, so your scores survive a new phone. That transfer happens between your device and Google, under Google's privacy policy. We never see it. You can turn backup off in your Android system settings.
Use Settings → Reset Records inside the game to erase scores, statistics and achievements. Uninstalling the app removes everything.
Gridchoke is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
