Resize Gmail Sidebar ("we", "our", or "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This extension operates 100% locally in your web browser and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
2. WHY PERMISSIONS ARE NEEDED
The extension requests only the minimum permissions necessary to function:
• "storage" Permission:
Used exclusively to store your numerical sidebar width preference (e.g. 280px) and UI toggle states locally via chrome.storage.sync. No personal data, email content, or history is stored.
• "contextMenus" Permission:
Used exclusively to create a context menu shortcut ("Reset Gmail Sidebar Width") when right-clicking the extension icon.
• Host Permission ("https://mail.google.com/*"):
Used exclusively to inject our layout adjusting script (content.js) into your Gmail tab to enable the resizable sidebar handle. The script only modifies the CSS width of the navigation DOM element.
3. DATA PRIVACY & SECURITY GUARANTEE
• No Email Access: The extension NEVER reads, collects, inspects, or sends any email content, attachments, contacts, or account details.
• No Tracking or Analytics: We do not use Google Analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party telemetry.
• No Remote Servers: The extension does not communicate with any external servers or third-party services.
