KADEN WELLNESS AND NUTRITIONAL THERAPY
Gregg Scott Kaden, Osteoneurpath, Nutritionist, and LMT (licensed in Pennsylvania)
Osteoneurpathy(Osteo-N) is a natural, hands-on method based on anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics of the body as a unit. I provide manual treatment for the whole body - because everything is connected.
LOCATION: NEW BETHLEHEM, PA AND OUT CALL AVAILABLE
Osteoneurpathy (Osteo-N Therapy) is ….
Osteoneurpathy is a drug-free, non-invasive manual therapy that assesses and treats the whole body, understanding that symptoms may not originate from the area of complaint. Precise and gentle palpatory skills address underlying issues. Osteoneurpathy therapy can be beneficial to people of all ages, from infancy to adult.
* ABOUT OSTEONEURPATHY THERAPY -
Osteoneurpathic therapy addresses structural problems in the body. The goal of the therapist is to find and release obstructions of movement and circulation so that the natural healing mechanisms of the body can do their work.
Using a refined sense of palpation, and a scientific knowledge base of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, the therapist looks for blockages, tension lines, and excessive movements to find the cause of the symptoms.
For example, suppose the symptom is a sore elbow. Why is it painful? There are a variety of possibilities, such as (but not limited to):
Direct injury
Restriction of movement at the wrist or shoulder causing increased strain at the elbow
A problem at the neck, perhaps due to an old whiplash, or a history of respiratory problems, or poor posture.
It is the osteoneurpathic therapist’s job to consider the possibilities and evaluate what might be affecting each unique individual.
Osteoneurpathic therapy is a complementary, rather than alternative, form of therapy. It is not a replacement for medical treatment, and acute problems should always be seen by a physician first.
The first school of osteopathy and osteo-neurpathy opened in the USA in 1892, started by Dr. Andrew Still. Dr. Still was frustrated by the poor results achieved by the primitive medicines of his day, and decided to take a different approach. He viewed the body as a mechanism, and the osteoneurpath as a mechanic. His goal was to find health in his patients by releasing the barriers to healing. His philosophy has spread, and now osteoneurpaths can be found throughout the western world.

The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, chronic pain alleviation, decreased stress levels, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
CHINESE CUPPING THERAPY~~ when suction is applied to the skin it draws up stagnation to the surface from the areas of injury or imbalance. What is Fascia?
Approximately one third of your body weight is fascia.
Fascia is also called ‘connective tissue’, which is a good description of its function in the body. Fascia wraps body structures like muscles and blood vessels, bone and organs. It forms strong tendons and ligaments, and delicate membranes, and strong sheets of tissue. It divides, merges, and folds back on itself in a continuous network of fibers and fluids. Fascia is the conduit for nerves, blood and lymphatic vessels.
Fascia not only wraps the muscles, it surrounds each individual muscle fiber within the larger muscle and works to coordinate the different muscles to create smooth movement in the body.
Because of its continuity throughout the body, a restriction in one part of the fascia can affect other body parts.

ABOUT CRANIAL OSTEONEURPATHY
Cranial-sacral Osteoneurpathy (CONP Therapy) treatment is an integral part of osteoneurpathic therapy. It is a very gentle and effective approach for a number of complaints:
Many pain problems have their origin in the vertebral column. The cranium at the top, and the sacrum at the bottom, are the two ends of the column and can be used to change the movement in between.
Circulation: There is a great deal of fluid inside your head – both blood and CSF (cerebro-spinal fluid). Stimulating circulation throughout the body can be done very efficiently using this therapy.
Concussions are a common sports injury, and cranial osteoneurpathic therapy is useful as part of a treatment plan, in addition to medical treatment.
Newborns: during birth it is normal for an infant’s head to deform to allow it to pass through the birth canal. It can do this because the bones are not fully formed (ossified). Typically, the skull regains its shape within a week or two after birth. But sometimes things get stuck, and Cranial Osteoneurpathy (CONP) can help free things up before the bones harden completely.
ABOUT NUTRITION THERAPY ~~~~
The common adage of “Food is the best medicine” is a cornerstone of nutritional practice. Nutritionists understand that what we choose to eat directly influences every outcome of our health. Without adequate nutrition, we cannot function properly. The body’s biochemistry is delicately balanced and thrives on key nutrients, antioxidant rich and toxin free foods.
Clinical nutrition is using what we eat to enhance our health, reverse disease and heal pathology. Adopting a healthy diet is often the first step towards correcting health problems. Many medical conditions can be treated more effectively with foods and nutritional supplements than they can by other means, with fewer complications and side effects. Nutritional recommendations are customized to the individual’s needs and health concerns. “We are what we eat!”

Nutrition and Wellness
There are so many contradicting signals about nutrition and wellness that it can be tough to know how to make good choices that can promote health. On the other hand, learning about a good diet through nutrition and lifestyle counseling can make all the difference in your ability to improve fatigue, mood, and medical concerns such as high blood pressure, among other things.
Nutritionists, wellness coaches and naturopaths work together with clients to develop in-depth nutrition plans that will help you make good adjustments in your health and wellbeing that will make a significant difference in your life.
Another goal of nutritional and lifestyle counseling for diabetic patients is to encourage them to switch from their current dietary behaviors to a diabetic diet and lifestyle.
When a nutritionist and a patient collaborate on nutritional and lifestyle counseling, values can be evaluated, knowledge and abilities can be obtained, new ways of adapting to changing situations can be learned, goals can be set, and decisions can be reached as a result of the deliberation and cooperation.
Thus, nutritional and lifestyle counseling aims to help people change their lives for the better. Change, on the other hand, is rarely simple. The path of least resistance is to maintain one’s current way of life and avoid making any significant changes.
A person’s dietary behavior and habits are likely to be one of the most difficult aspects of a lifestyle change because they have been in place since infancy.
Individuals who are committed to reaching a healthy lifestyle. You don’t have to be ill to begin seeing a nutritionist. To attain ideal health, it is suggested that you visit a counselor while you’re still feeling good to fight off sicknesses, especially those like cancer. The services of a nutritional counselor include assisting you in meal planning, selecting the types of foods that are most appropriate for your metabolism or health information, and monitoring your progress.
People who struggle with weight problems. In addition to being an aesthetic choice, being significantly heavier than your desired weight may cause considerable health problems. Heart problems, hormonal disorders, hypertension, and even some forms of cancer have all been linked to being overweight or obese. Nutritional and lifestyle counseling can assist you in reducing excess weight safely and healthily by giving you knowledge about sustainable diets while also carefully evaluating your progress.
People that are at a greater risk of acquiring a specific disease. Some individuals, for instance, are susceptible to type 2 diabetes and heart disease since one or both of their parents have already been diagnosed with the very same condition or a similar illness. It is possible to reduce the likelihood of having the same medical problem by seeking nutrition advice quickly and regularly.
Those who are suffering from different medical ailments. The fact is that healthy nutrition has the potential to improve the overwhelming health issues if followed. Although diet solely may not be sufficient to treat a condition, it may be beneficial in reducing symptoms, slowing the progression, or improving the individual’s response to treatments.
Those who are allergic to certain foods. In the United States, it’s estimated that 15 million people suffer from a food allergy. Because anaphylactic shock can be minimal, it can quickly become life-threatening.
Improvements in the development of severe illnesses
Nutrition advice can be beneficial for various illnesses, namely Type 2 diabetes, excessive cholesterol, and resistance to insulin. Understanding that the things you consume affect your wellbeing and knowing how to pick nourishing meals can help you achieve greater control and, in certain circumstances, can fully eliminate these diseases.
Successful Weight Loss Plan
A nutritional consultant carefully assesses your eating patterns to build a strategy that will assist you in making significant, long-lasting adjustments and consistently losing weight. When compared with individuals who do not see a nutritional therapist, individuals who choose to integrate nutrition and lifestyle counseling lose weight. They are more likely to maintain their weight loss over time.
Healthy practices that endure a lifetime
The likelihood that a client will receive tools and develop habits that will stay for the long term increases when the client works with a nutrition and lifestyle counselor. As soon as you understand correct nourishment and how to include it in your daily routine, you’ll be able to make more informed decisions.
However, while extreme dietary modifications can produce short-term results, they are unlikely to improve long-term. On the other hand, Nutritional consultants provide their expert guidance on making practical, positive adjustments that will make a big difference in overall life and health.
Improved general health and wellness
Nutritionists consider you as a whole person when providing nutritional advice. The objectives go well beyond simply losing weight. Nutrition to improve your total health and wellbeing is “good nutrition.”
You may utilize a diet to enhance energy, promote relaxation, boost the immune system, calm the mind, increase attention span, and minimize the signs of illness with the assistance of a nutrition counselor.
You can also anticipate the counselor delving into your daily routine to understand how much stress you are under, the quantity and quality of your relaxation, your activity levels, and the level of fitness exercise, among other things.
Plan to talk about your eating habits, highlight any problem areas such as late-night snacks, and share your culinary choices with your counselor. The nutrition counselor will use this information to create a diet plan customized to your needs.
A nutrition and lifestyle counselor is a valuable ally who can assist you in reaching your desired wellness goals. Schedule an appointment with Gregg Scott Kaden, PhD if you would want comprehensive nutritional counseling.
