PUTTING PEOPLE FIRST IN DISTRICT 77
Greg Powers is a devoted husband and father of three children who attend Chesterfield County Public Schools. His family experience gives him a personal understanding of the needs of parents, teachers, and students in District 77.
Greg has dedicated his life to serving his community and protecting Virginia’s natural resources. As a leader with the James River Soil and Water Conservation District, he served as Finance Chair, Strategic Planning Chair, and a member of the Legislative Committee at the state level. Under his leadership, the district’s budget and staff doubled which is proof of his ability to secure resources, manage growth, and deliver results for local families.
His commitment to conservation and resilience runs deep. Greg is a Master Gardener, a member of the Plant RVA Natives Committee, and serves on the Chesterfield Technical Center Agricultural Advisory Board, recognized in 2025 as the Best Advisory Board in the region. He also works with partners through Sentinel Landscape meetings to design nature‑based solutions that strengthen community resilience against flooding.
Greg’s proven record of leadership, fiscal responsibility, and community service makes him uniquely prepared to represent the voices of District 77 in the House of Delegates.
