Mean Girls

The musical Mean Girls is coming to GHS! On Dec. 12th and 13th, students enrolled in the class “On Stage!” will be playing the roles of different characters each night! Some may ask: “What do you mean different characters every night?” Each night will have different casts, meaning each student will be portraying a different character for every performance; shown below. All of the students have been putting tons of effort into these shows. Auditioning through late September to early October, waiting nervously to find out who they get to play, staying after school late after long hours of school, having to start rehearsing before school! Imagine waking up so early in the morning not just to go hang out with your friends, but having to put your heart into your characters like you are performing in front of a crowd. Well, that’s what these talented students are doing. 

The musical adaptation of Mean Girls revolves around a new girl, Cady Haron, coming to school. Cady tries to find her way around the crowd and finds two new friends: Janis Sarkisian and Damian Hubbard. These two absolutely hate the most popular girl in school: Regina George. They convince Cady to become friends with Regina's gang, and she gives in. Janis wants Cady to become “friends” with Reginia because of the rumors she spread in middle school about Janis. Cady immediately gets into Regina’s gang and she becomes best friends with the gang. However, Cady starts to question Janis and Damian. Balancing between the two groups, you’re probably wondering who Cady will choose. Suppose you will just have to find out at the Black Box Theater! See you there!
