The Reimagine Greenbriar LCI Plan was completed and adopted by City Council in 2019. The final plan is posted on the Documents page of this website.
The Atlanta Regional Commission’s Livable Centers Initiative is a grant program that provides resources to local jurisdictions to re-envision their communities as vibrant, walkable places that offer increased mobility options, encourage healthy lifestyles, and provide improved access to jobs and services.
The purpose of this study was to reevaluate the study area and reflect on current and projected future needs. It focused on the Greenbriar Town Center and is a major update to the plan completed in 2001.
Public involvement played a key role in the development of the plan, particularly in the identification of community vision, policies, concept plans, and implementation strategies. A Core Team consisting of residents, local business owners, nonprofits, and other key stakeholders engaged the public through community workshops, meetings, a community survey, and other methods.
