Building on our decades-long effort to map cities across the world, we can infer existing traffic light parameters including: cycle length, transition time, green split (i.e. right-of-way time and order), coordination and sensor operation (actuation).

We create a model to understand how traffic flows through the intersection. This helps us understand typical traffic patterns including patterns of starting and stopping, average wait times at a traffic light, coordination between adjacent intersections (or lack thereof), and how traffic light plans change throughout the day.

When we start working with a city, the Green Light algorithm investigates driving patterns through the city, uses insights from Google Maps, and provides recommendations for intersections to optimize, based on the expected impact of the optimization. For example, if a traffic light at a certain intersection is already on the best possible plan, the system would not provide a recommendation for it.

With over 150,000+ square feet of state-approved, climate-controlled growing space, Greenlight cultivates a variety of quality cannabis flower for health and wellness. We are able to confidently serve products where we control every aspect of the quality, from seed to harvest, to packaging, all the way to the patient...all under our watchful eye.

At Greenlight, we know medicine is not a one-size-fits-all. With our vertical integration model we are able to not only grow amazing plants, but also craft a variety of edibles, oils and extracts from our quality flower to serve the varying needs of consumers.

Counties across the country are joining Operation Green Light for Veterans to shine a light on the issues veterans face and highlight the resources available to veterans at the county, state and federal levels.

We are excited to announce that [COUNTY] is joining our colleagues across the nation in launching #OperationGreenLight for Veterans, an initiative designed to shine a light on the service of our veterans and their families.

By shining a green light, we aim to let veterans know that they are seen, appreciated and supported. Join us in #OperationGreenLight for Veterans by changing one light bulb in the entryway of your house or business to a green bulb.

As part of #OperationGreenLight for Veterans, [COUNTIES] in [STATE] are illuminating its buildings green from Nov. 6 - 12. My office is proud to turn on a green light in support of veterans in [COUNTY or STATE]

The office of Representative [NAME] is proud to cosponsor H.Res 750 in support of #OperationGreenLight for Veterans, which highlights the many county resources available to veterans in [DISTRICT]. Join me in shining a green light from Nov. 6 - 12!

Harvard Medical School researchers at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center have found that exposing migraine sufferers to a narrow band of green light significantly reduces photophobia and can reduce headache severity.

Five years ago, Burstein and colleagues made the surprising discovery that blue light hurts migraine patients who are blind. This finding prompted the idea that abnormal sensitivity to light during migraine could be alleviated by blocking blue light.

Because that earlier study involved only blind patients who could not detect all colors of light, Burstein and his colleagues devised a way to study the effects of different colors of light on headache in patients without visual impairment.

In the current study, Burstein and colleagues found that of all light to which migraine sufferers are exposed, a narrow band of green light worsens migraine significantly less than all other colors of light and that at low intensities green light can even reduce headache pain. Of 69 participants, 41 completed the study.

To understand exactly why green light causes less pain to patients with migraines, Burstein and colleagues designed experiments in which they measured the magnitude of the electrical signals generated by the retina (in the eye) and the cortex (in the brain) of these patients in response to each color of light. They found that blue and red lights generated the largest signals in both the retina and the cortex and that green light generated the smallest signals.

Next, applying techniques recently developed by Rodrigo Noseda, HMS assistant professor of anaesthesia at Beth Israel Deaconess, they used animal models of migraine to study neurons in the thalamus, an area of the brain that transmits information about light from the eye to the cortex. These neurons were found to be most responsive to blue light and least responsive to green light, explaining why the migraine brain responds favorably to green light.

The Dare County Board of Commissioners strongly encourages residents and business owners to join in the efforts and recognize the importance of honoring all who made immeasurable sacrifices to preserve our freedom by displaying green lights at their place of business or their residence from November 6, 2023 through November 19, 2023.

When I plug in the MBL it cycles from blue to a solid green. I can even pull the ethernet cable out and it will stay solid green. I have tried different ports on router as well as different ethernet cables and always the same. Any options to connect? I am using windows 10. I just want to get my data off of it. Thanks!

Photobiomodulation (PBM) describes the application of light at wavelengths ranging from 400-1100 nm to promote tissue healing, reduce inflammation and promote analgesia. Traditionally, red and near-infra red (NIR) light have been used therapeutically, however recent studies indicate that other wavelengths within the visible spectrum could prove beneficial including blue and green light. This review aims to evaluate the literature surrounding the potential therapeutic effects of PBM with particular emphasis on the effects of blue and green light. In particular focus is on the possible primary and secondary molecular mechanisms of PBM and also evaluation of the potential effective parameters for application both in vitro and in vivo. Studies have reported that PBM affects an array of molecular targets, including chromophores such as signalling molecules containing flavins and porphyrins as well as components of the electron transport chain. However, secondary mechanisms tend to converge on pathways induced by increases in reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. Systematic evaluation of the literature indicated 72% of publications reported beneficial effects of blue light and 75% reported therapeutic effects of green light. However, of the publications evaluating the effects of green light, reporting of treatment parameters was uneven with 41% failing to report irradiance (mW cm-2) and 44% failing to report radiant exposure (J cm-2). This review highlights the potential of PBM to exert broad effects on a range of different chromophores within the body, dependent upon the wavelength of light applied. Emphasis still remains on the need to report exposure and treatment parameters, as this will enable direct comparison between different studies and hence enable the determination of the full potential of PBM.

Depending on factors like the length of a trip and the number of traffic lights, coordinated signals can save seconds or even minutes for a driver. Since thousands of vehicles travel along each road on a weekday, this adds up to noticeably improved traffic flow, especially during rush hour periods in the morning and afternoon.

But new research by Padma Gulur, MD, a professor of anesthesiology and population health at Duke University School of Medicine, has bolstered a bright idea about pain management: green light exposure.

The idea is young, and benefits are far from conclusive, but her work, and that of a handful of others, has revealed the potential of green light exposure as an affordable treatment with few side effects or risk of addiction.

Patients who wore green eyeglasses were the only group with a majority of subjects having a decline in anxiety scores, and there was a statistically significant difference in the fear question in particular.

Researchers used commercially available green eyeglasses. Even though they looked the same, each was tested with a spectrometer before and after the study to determine which wavelength of green light each produced.

"Green Light" is a song by New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde, released on 2 March 2017 as the lead single from her second studio album Melodrama (2017). It was written and produced by Lorde and Jack Antonoff, with additional writing by Joel Little and production assistance from Frank Dukes, and was released to radio stations by Universal. Musically, "Green Light" is an electropop, dance-pop, and post-disco song. The lyrics use a "green light" as a traffic light metaphor that gives Lorde permission to move on with her life after a breakup.

In an interview with Tavi Gevinson's podcast Rookie, she revealed that the song's piano part was inspired when she went to a Florence and the Machine concert with Jack Antonoff. The singer's pianist made "big, jangly" piano movements, where "the physicality of that movement [...] became the way Jack played" that part in the song.[3] Lorde also revealed that her sound-to-color synesthesia played a significant factor in the song's title, saying that a "swirling combo of high school and recent and private and public memories" helped to make the title represent a green traffic light.[4] She announced the release of the single and its music video on Twitter on 2 March 2017.[5] ff782bc1db
