Green Diary (“the App”) is developed to help users track and care for their plants in a simple and mindful way. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data.

Green Diary is a fully offline, local-first application. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers.

1.1 Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

This data never leaves your device unless you manually back it up yourself through your system-level tools.

1.2 No Account Required

Green Diary does not require:

• Login or authentication
  
  

• Cloud synchronization
  
  

2. How We Use Your Data

All data stored locally is used only for app functionality, including:

• Displaying your plants and history
  
  

• Providing watering reminders
  
  

• Calculating statistics (e.g., consistency, health scores)
  
  

We do not share, sell, or analyze your data.

3. Third-Party Services

Green Diary does not integrate any analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools.

The app may use:

• In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing) for voluntary donations
  
  

• Image picker to allow photo selection
  
  

• WebView only to display this Privacy Policy
  
  

These services do not collect personal information from the App itself.

4. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

Photos / Media / Files (Optional)

Used only when you choose to add images to a plant or journal entry.
Images are stored locally and never uploaded.

No other permissions are required.

5. Children’s Privacy

Green Diary is suitable for all ages and does not collect personal data.
We comply with COPPA and global child privacy regulations.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time by:

• Removing individual plants or journal entries
  
  

• Using the “Delete All Data” option in Settings
  
  

Uninstalling the App will also permanently delete all stored information.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements.
Any changes will be posted with an updated “Last updated” date.
