The search area is roughly spherical, divided into cubes which are 20 ly on a side. The graph below represents the search progress as of 2022/10/08.

Other Charts
This is a histogram of the number of search cubes, sorted by how many systems they contain. It's a chart of how the work is distributed over the cubes. Most cubes have 8-20 systems in them.
The straight histogram isn't great for seeing the total work and comparing between columns. 100 grids with 10 systems are the same amount of work as 20 grids with 50 systems. So this chart shows the total number of systems in each of those columns, allowing easy comparison of total work between bins.
