1635 Terrier, G & C includes all manors, done by perambulation and using an “auncient terrar or dragge”, presumably the 1568 one.

1657 Terrier, G & C, includes all manors, described as a Renewall. It is not clear whether a perambulation was done, or whether they used the 1635 version and simply updated the names. It follows the 1635 version very closely, but the handwriting is easier to read, and it can help in deciphering the earlier version. As well to bear in mind, though, that they probably had similar problems reading it; but at least the names would have been familiar to them.
