It appears that the old open field names continued to be used to identify the same land, though now enclosed.

It is interesting to note how few names have apparently persisted. Hoppin has moved onto the arable. Most of the field names here have been made up, and where acreages have duplicates, one has been given a new name. Duke farmed Manor Farm in the late 1800s.
