Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi matematika mahasiswa selama menggunakan software graphmatica melalui pendekatan saintifik pada materi grafik fungsi di perguruan tinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan kategori one group pretest postest design yang melibatkan 30 mahasiswa semester 1 program studi pendidikan matematika di STKIP Muhammadiyah Pagaralam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematika mahasiswa selama menggunakan software graphmatica melalui pendekatan saintifik pada materi grafik fungsi dikategorikan sangat baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat selama proses pembelajaran melalui observasi dan lembar aktivitas mahasiswa. Pada proses tersebut, mahasiswa dapat menggunakan software graphmatica untuk menyelesaikan masalah tentang grafik fungsi yang diberikan di lembar aktivitas mahasiswa dengan berkomunikasi satu sama lain. Dalam hal ini, mereka dapat berkomunikasi dengan baik untuk menuangkan ide-ide yang didapatkan ke dalam lembar aktivitas tersebut. Ini berarti bahwa mahasiswa mempunyai kemampuan komunikasi matematika secara lisan maupun tulisan.Untuk itu, kemampuan komunikasi matematika sangat penting agar mahasiswa berani untuk mengungkapkan ide-idenya sehingga memahami materi yang telah diberikan.
