Tryout Week Begins August 11th!!

• Tryout Week: August 11 - 15, all players attend 5:30 - 7:30 PM

• Team rosters will be announced by Friday, August 15

• Cuts may be made based on performance, attitude, effort, and team needs

• Attendance at tryouts is mandatory for team consideration

• During the first week of practice, players must demonstrate the following minimum requirements to continue with the team:

• Swim 500 yards continuously (no breaks)

• Tread water for 2 minutes continuously (no breaks)

Mandatory Parent & Player Meeting: Tuesday, 8/19 @ 7pm

• Location - Coach K’s classroom, S-5 

• Practice time that day - Everyone: 5 - 6:30pm

• Include: season overview, expectations, volunteer sign-ups

• Attendance is required for all players and at least one parent or guardian.

Black & Gold Granada Scrimmage Games and Table Training: Saturday, 8/16 @ 3pm

• Be there! At least one parent or guardian from each family should attend the scrimmage and table training so we’re ready for the season.

• All players on deck! Every player should attend..

• Trained before? Awesome - we still need you! Your experience will be a huge help in showing new parents the ropes.

• No trained table crew = no home games. We must have volunteers for Shot Clock/Game Clock, Book, and Spotter. Let’s make sure our teams can play at home!

Regular Season Practices (beginning August 18)

• JV Practice: 

  • Monday - Friday, 3:45–5:30 PM

• Varsity Practice: 

  • Monday - Friday, 5:30–7:30 PM

  • Monday & Wednesday Weights Before School, 6:30am - 7:45am

(No practice on game days)

Players are expected to attend every practice unless previously excused.

Registration

Register online at homecampus.com/login. An updated physical is required to be on the team. Either upload it during registration or submit it to the school office. 

• Physicals are valid for one calendar year.

• Note: Granada requires a newly signed physical form from a doctor, even if the student doesn't need a check-up.

Please fill out the Player Information Form to be added to the team contact list and provide essential details for the season. 

Player Contract

All players must read and sign the Player Contract before participating.

Game & Tournament Schedule

  • Find game schedule, results, and stats on MaxPreps.

• Expectations:

  • Players must attend all games.

  • Typical Game Times:

    • Varsity: 6:00 PM

    • JV: 7:00 PM

    • Arrive 1 hour before game time.

Voluntary Donation Request - $350

We kindly ask each family to consider a voluntary donation of $350, or any amount you are comfortable with, to help cover essential team expenses such as tournament fees, equipment, and supplies.

Team Uniform

• Team Brief:

  • Ordering information will be provided upon team selection

• Team Polo Shirt:

• Provided to all new players

• Returning players will have the option to order a new one

• Players are expected to wear the team polo to school and to the game on all game days

We Need Your Help!

To help our season run smoothly, we ask that at least one parent volunteer from each family sign up for a role. Volunteer opportunities and expectations will be discussed at the mandatory player/parent meeting.

Volunteer Roles Include:

• Game Table, 3 people working each game: clock, book & flags

• Photographers - 2 Varsity, 2 JV

• Videographers - 1 Varsity, 1 JV

• Senior Night Committee - 2

• End of Year Banquet Committee  - 2

• Drivers and Chaperones - We need drivers and chaperones for tournaments and away games, including the Sierra Shootout tournament.

  • Volunteer clearance expires each year on June 30 and must be renewed annually.

  • TB screenings are valid for four years but must be resubmitted every year via the Raptor portal.

  • Livescan fingerprinting only needs to be done once.
