Research protocol code: HU144/2567(E1) Research Title:The Development of a Series of English Graded Reading Materials for Thai Learners Dear author trainees,
I, Suparuthai Sumonwiriya, a lecturer at the Language Institute, Burapha University, would like to invite you to participate in a research project entitled “The Development of a Series of English Graded Reading Materials for Thai Learners.”
Before agreeing to participate in this project, please review the details of the project below:
This study aims to explore the needs for Thai learners when reading English graded reading materials, and train the authors to produce these materials. We have already analyzed the needs of Thai learners.
By joining the author training, you will learn about extensive reading, graded readers, develop and write stories, and practice writing a story. Your participation and the story that you develop will be evaluated.
We expect author trainees to fully engage in the training, which will last approximately 30 hours. At the end of the training, you will receive a certificate of achievement in author training. Some of you may become potential authors of the series of graded readers we will develop in the next phase.
Please note that your participation in this training is voluntary. There is no penalty for leaving the project at any stage, but we ask that you notify the research team if you choose to withdraw.
Thanks to the support of the Fundamental Fund, the author training is free of charge, and accommodation and meals will be provided. All of your assignments and work will be kept confidential.
They will be stored online via Google Drive for the research team to evaluate the training. No identifying information will be reported. With the permission of the trainees, we may use your stories for future projects and activities.
