College Courses: Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD)
The dual and concurrent enrollment partnership between Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is designed to expand educational opportunities for high school students, helping them advance their academic and career goals.
Senate Bill AB 288 supports California Community Colleges in providing educational programs specifically for high school students, allowing them to take courses that can transfer to four-year colleges, work toward an Associate of Arts degree, prepare for certification, and gain vocational training.
Many LAUSD high school students can access these courses during their regular school day, making college-level learning more accessible.
For more information on dual or concurrent enrollment opportunities, please reach out to your child’s school counselor. Prior approval from the school counselor or administrator is essential before enrolling to ensure the course credits are recognized and recorded on the LAUSD transcript.
To view a comprehensive list of courses eligible for LACCD dual enrollment or concurrent enrollment, please refer to the course catalogs.
