At GRADIENT Lab, we conduct research in the ares of wireless communications, network optimization, and the next generation of wireless technologies. Our current lab focus is on advancing the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) as they intersect with wireless networks, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in communication systems.
Wireless Communications: We focus on the design, development, and optimization of cutting-edge wireless communication systems. Our research spans from traditional wireless technologies to emerging solutions, such as Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces and Open RAN, ensuring that the future of communication is faster, more reliable, and more efficient.
Network Optimization: Our team is committed to solving complex network optimization challenges. We develop algorithms and strategies to enhance the performance, scalability, and resilience of wireless networks, ensuring they can meet the demands of tomorrow’s connected world.
Next-Gen Wireless Technologies: We explore and innovate within the realm of next-generation wireless networks, including 5G, 6G, and beyond. Our work involves creating new architectures and protocols that can support the increasing need for high-speed, low-latency, and ubiquitous connectivity.
AI & Machine Learning: AI and ML are at the core of our current research. We integrate these technologies into wireless networks to enable intelligent decision-making, automation, and adaptive systems that can dynamically respond to changing environments and user demands. Further, we study using the wireless networks to enable training of AI/ML models using cutting edge techniqus in distributed learning.
GRADIENT is more than just a research lab; it aims to be a hub of creativity, collaboration, and cutting-edge innovation. We invite students, researchers, and industry partners to join us in shaping the future of wireless communications and network technologies.
