I guess we should have known, since this is from 2013. How does he have the balls to say something like this about a book series he's adapting, especially one where dreams, visions and prophecy are such huge deals? How can Jon still have a satisfactory conclusion to his arc after this? Oh right, themes are for eighth-grade book reports so it doesn't matter...

Each volume also includes answer keys and a complete listing of the student pages grouped by skill. Although originally written to complement Bridges in Mathematics First Edition, these books may be used with any math program. Note: These materials were developed prior to the publication of the Common Core State Standards. I was just wondering why there isn't an option to mark a student's work incomplete in the grade book when assigning a point based . You can apply a missing, late, or excused label but not incomplete. This would really help especially since I sync my Canvas grade book to PowerSchool.

As to why there are only missing/late/excused, I believe it has to do with the status being more than colors used to identify missing/late/excused assignments. They are actually designed to be used by instructors to to control what and how grades are calculated for a final grade. You can use the gradebook settings to deduct points for late assignments, choose to assign zero points for missing assignments, and excuse an assignment (it won't count for the student's final grade).

The Barnes and Noble bookstore on Litchfield Road will be hosting a series of Book Fairs throughout the year. During this time, they will have tables set up in the store with consumable books for each of our grade levels.  If you choose to purchase your consumables elsewhere, please be sure the ISBN number matches the approved book list. You can also order books from Barnes and Noble online at bn.com/bookfairs.

Whenever you find yourself writing long chains of if-else statements, see if you can find a pattern and use a lookup table. Here, we have only 5 grade buckets, but what if we had 20 or 100? You can see the if-else approach isn't scalable.

In this case, if we use the string "FFFFFFDCBAA" then we've enumerated all 5 grade buckets in a way that lets us index into after dividing the score by 10. The code for that would be: "FFFFFFDCBAA"[score/10|0] where | 0 is the floor operation, chopping off the decimal. The extra "A" handles the case of 100.
