We had our last seminar in 2020 by September 16th. The seminar will resume next year!
The Graduate Student Chinese Economy Workshop (GSCE) is a virtual, graduate-student-run workshop.
Our target is to promote communication and networking among all young scholars working on China’s economy around the world.
All researchers who are interested in China are welcomed to attend this series of seminars.
The workshop will be held weekly on Wednesday at 10:00 am U.S. Eastern Time (EST) over Zoom.
The corresponding time back in China is 10:00 pm Beijing Time in the same day.
In each week, we meet for 90 minutes. There are two types of presentations. Job market talks take the whole 90 minutes. Regular talks take half of it.

We invite all economists from the any field of economics with an interest in China's economic issues to participate in this seminar.

Presenter must be a junior scholar. Either a student or an assistant professor.
In your submission, please indicate which type of talks you want to deliver. Organizers will allocate the schedule and time to different people based on the quality of their papers. The paper must be written in English. The presentation must be delivered in English as well.
We have a rolling process of review and acceptance, the first presentation was July 22, 2020.
