Aligned and Integrated Curriculum
My weekly student teaching report shows I am ready to implement Standards aligned curriculum. In particular, I am able to base the curriculum on industry-validated technical standards by incorporating specific Nebraska state STS Standards in each unit, as shown in my Student Teaching Weekly report. In addition, it shows I am able to incorporate and apply integrated knowledge and skills in authentic scenarios, as each unit was designed with input from industry partners. I will apply these ideas to my STS program by continuing to review and involve relevant stakeholders in my curriculum planning.
My Code of Conduct demonstrates my readiness to implement a curriculum aligned with STS standards and integrated learning. It was developed as a baseline for behavioral reference but has been adapted to emphasize the personal employability skills needed for success after school. The curriculum relies on industry-validated technical standards and competencies created with input from employers in collaboration with SkillsUSA's Career Essentials. My classroom Code of Conduct will be posted throughout the classroom, available online, and sent home with students at the start of each semester for parents and students to sign and return. This ensures that the standards are easily accessible to all stakeholders. As workforce demands evolve, the career essentials may change, prompting regular reviews and revisions of the curriculum based on industry trends, student performance, and stakeholder feedback.
