This Privacy Policy applies to GPSme package name app.gpsme.
GPSme provides family location sharing, places, alerts, notifications, and account features. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, how it is shared, and how users can request account and data deletion.
Information we collect
Account and profile information
GPSme may collect your name, email address, account identifiers, profile details, avatar, sign-in method, family circle membership, invite records, and support messages. This information is used to create and manage your account, let you join or create circles, and provide support.
Location information
With your permission, GPSme collects precise location and background location. Location data is used to show location updates to authorized family circle members, provide location history, support places and geofence alerts, and send safety notifications. GPSme may also process activity, speed, heading, accuracy, altitude, timestamp, battery level, device status, network status, app version, and diagnostic data that helps provide reliable location service.
Places and family circles
GPSme may collect places, geofence settings, circle membership, invite codes, roles, and notification preferences. This data is used to send arrival and departure alerts and to control who can see location information.
Device, app, analytics, and diagnostics
GPSme may collect device identifiers, push notification tokens, advertising ID, app interactions, app version, crash logs, diagnostics, performance data, and network or device status. This information is used for app functionality, notifications, analytics, crash reporting, troubleshooting, security, fraud prevention, and advertising or marketing measurement where applicable.
Purchases and subscriptions
GPSme may receive purchase or subscription status from Google Play or payment processors to enable premium features, manage entitlements, and provide support. Payment processing is handled by Google Play or the relevant payment provider.
Photos and media
If you choose to upload or select an avatar, GPSme may collect that image or an avatar reference. This is optional and used for profile display inside the app.
How we use information
We use collected information to:
- provide account sign-in and family circle features;
- show location, location history, and place alerts to authorized circle members;
- send service notifications, safety alerts, diagnostics, and support messages;
- process subscriptions and premium access;
- secure, troubleshoot, monitor, and improve the app and backend service;
- analyze app performance and usage;
- show or measure advertising or marketing when enabled in the app;
- comply with law, respond to legal requests, prevent abuse, and protect users.
Sharing
GPSme shares location and profile information with family circle members that you invite or join. GPSme may also share data with service providers that help operate the app, including hosting providers, maps, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, sign-in, payment processing, advertising, and measurement services. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users, to prevent fraud or abuse, to enforce our terms, or to respond to emergencies.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not directly identify you.
Security
Data sent between the app and the GPSme service is transmitted over encrypted connections. We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Retention
Location history is retained only as needed to provide the service. Standard-visible users retain up to 24 hours of location history, and premium-visible users retain up to 14 days. Other account data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, enforce agreements, and maintain security.
Your choices
You can update profile details and places in the app. You can control location permissions, notification permissions, and advertising identifier settings through your device settings. Some GPSme features may not work if required permissions are disabled.
Account and data deletion
You can delete your GPSme account in the app:
1. Open the GPSme app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Open your profile screen.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Confirm the deletion dialog.
When the request succeeds, the app signs you out and the account is removed from the GPSme service.
Account deletion removes personal data associated with the GPSme account from the active service, including profile information, name, email address, account identifiers, avatar references, location history, last known location records, circles you own, your membership in other circles, invite records you created, places, geofence settings, push notification tokens, and notification history associated with the account.
Some records may be retained only when needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, tax or accounting obligations, or backup recovery. Backup copies and server logs are deleted or overwritten according to normal retention cycles and no later than 90 days unless a longer period is required by law. Subscription and payment records are handled by Google Play and payment processors according to their policies. Aggregated or de-identified analytics that no longer identify a user may be retained.
Partial data deletion
GPSme supports full account deletion. You can also update profile details and delete places inside the app.
