Location Data: GPS coordinates, altitude, heading, and speed are collected only when you are actively using the app to stamp photos.
Camera Access: Required to capture photographs.
Photo Metadata (EXIF): GPS coordinates, altitude, and timestamps are embedded directly into the photos you take.
Storage Access: Required to save the captured and processed photos to your device's gallery.
Device Information: Device model, OS version, and crash logs may be collected for diagnostic purposes.
Weather Data: Your coordinates are sent securely to the OpenWeather API to retrieve local weather data to display on your photos.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:
Core Functionality: To capture and save geo-tagged photos to your device.
Map Display: To show your location on the mini-map and overlays within the photos.
Weather Overlay: To display accurate local weather information on your photos.
App Improvement: To analyze crash logs and improve overall performance.
We do NOT:
Sell, rent, or share your personal data for marketing purposes.
Upload your photos or location history to our own cloud servers.
Track your location in the background when the App is not in use.
3. Data Storage and Security
Local Storage: All photos, GPS data, and user settings are stored exclusively on your local device.
No Cloud Access: We do not operate any external servers or databases to store your photos.
Data Security: Your data is protected by your device's built-in operating system security.
Data Retention: Data is retained on your device until you manually delete the photos, clear the app data, or uninstall the App.
4. Third-Party Services
The App utilizes the following third-party services which may collect data according to their own privacy policies:
Map Tiles: OpenStreetMap / Mapbox (receives coordinates to render maps).
Weather API: OpenWeather (receives coordinates to provide weather data).
Advertising: Google AdMob (collects device ID and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads).
5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your region, you have the following rights regarding your data:
Right to Access: You can view all generated data (photos) via your device's gallery.
Right to Deletion: You can delete your photos, clear app data, or uninstall the App at any time.
Right to Opt-Out: You can disable location or camera permissions via your device settings, or opt-out of personalized ads via Google AdMob settings.
Right to Portability: You can export your photos and their embedded metadata at any time.
Right to Withdraw Consent: You can revoke app permissions via your device's settings menu.
6. Children's Privacy
GPS Map Photos Timestamp is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can take steps to delete it.
