What is it?

A D4 holiday tradition, going strong for more than 2 decades!

Want more than the usual D4 office or squad party? This is the annual inter-divisional event that you have been hearing or seeing about!

Enjoy great food, a beloved venue and P.I.E. :

• Planned performances,

• Impromptu speeches,

• Entertainment = music, dancing, comedy, games, sing-alongs...

It is high time to make friends, reconnect, and reminisce - to make fond memories!

With paparazzi await, all that is missing are the biggest stars -

You - New, current, retired D4 🦺 Employees, and invited friends - Plus ones are welcome, too!

Purpose and Need

• Safe Celebration

  • • Celebrate ourselves after 2+ years of hard work and anguish

    • COVID-19/Cold/Flu/RSA precautions should be taken

    • Designated Drivers/Ridesharing is a must

• Comradery - friendships, new and continuing

• Good Food and Drinks

• Good Music 🎶 and Dancing 💃🏼🕺🏼

• Quality face-to-face/ Physical Connections - handshakes 🤝🏼, hugs 🤗, kisses 💋 (if wanted)

• Good time for as many D4 🦺 coworkers, retirees, plus ones, and friends as possible

• Your name,

• Payment information (Venmo account name, when did you pay, how much that you sent)

Once we can track the information we will address it as soon as we can (within 2 weeks).

Why is this so much more than before?

Various factors influenced this decision:

• The COVID-19 pandemic has cost everything more 💸.

• We kept the cost down in the past hugely thanks 🙏🏼 to the large volunteer force who gave priceless help and sacrificed for the previous editions of Gordon's Mixers ❤ since the 1990's. You know who you are as captured in photos and videos and memories...

• Collectively D4 👷🏼‍♀️👷🏼‍♂️ worked hard non-stop in the last two-plus year to serve the public, to keep ourselves and our families safe and sane, to keep our heads - mentally, physically and figuratively - above water. It is time to celebrate 👏🏼 ourselves. And nothing is ever free.

• Our Vision is to see as many as possible D4 coworkers, retirees, plus ones, and friends to reconnect, to connect, and to have fun safely.

• Therefore, we want to keep the volunteer force as small as possible while we still organize this unofficial celebration.

How to : Be Festive

• It is the holidays, there is music and a dance floor - Dress to party/to impress! ✨🤶🏼🎅🏼💅🏼🤟🏼🎆🎇🎉🎊🎄🥰😘🤩😎🥳

• There will be masks - wear your most festive masquerade🎭 mask and/or otherwise 😷.

How to : Be Helpful

An all-volunteer D4 effort, GWJ Production Committee is looking for a few good helpers to make party happening!

Retirees are encouraged to come early to help 😉❤

Make friends, forge camaraderie, and make new connections around D4!
