Gopro Download Library

I came across this yesterday - a developer who is working with the GoPro open API to create a way to control gopros remotely. I am not super clued in to what would be needed to make this all functional, but it looks like wired stream over UDP at low res, and control of local recording may be possible. I am going to keep my eye on it and have a play but I figured the smarter brains at BlueRobotics would be able to weigh up the feasibility a lot faster than me!

From a software perspective, a go-pro controller / handler would likely be a good candidate for a BlueOS extension, potentially by allowing access to some controls via a web interface that then presents one or more streams to the existing camera manager

Still good to know as for this or other applications where a wireless signal is useful - maybe extending the radio antennae to the surface of the electronics enclosure. Then its only gotta get through 4mm of acrylic.

regarding RAE SLAM, the demo you posted is using a SLAM solution from SpectacularAI, you can refer to their Github repository for OAK examples.

Current rtabmap ROS example is a basic implementation for now used as an example to showcase how to setup a camera in the ROS ecosystem. In the non-ROS version library you can find a version that integrates camera on a lower level which seems to improve performance, although for that you need to rebuild library with that integration enabled.

I am using a macbook pro computer and have el capitan. I am importing my go pro files to my computer but they take up a lot of storage space. Can I have them upload to ICloud and delete from computer. Can I still access those go pro movies on the iCloud and download when desired.

I can certainly understand wanting to make sure that the videos are stored somewhere and take up the least amount of space on the physical device as possible since I do the same with my videos. When it comes to putting them in iCloud and then deleting them from the device, that would delete them from iCloud as well. You can use iCloud Photo Library and then turn on Optimize Storage.
