Goodridge Parents and Students: we want to see how you are working at home. It’s contest time! Post a picture of your home study space on our Goodridge Family Resource Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/GoodridgeFamilyResourceCenter You can also email in your picture to Stephanie Ganns at stephanie.ganns@boone.kyschools.us. When submitting your home study space picture include the students name and grade. Be creative, we want to see what works for you! There will be one winner from each grade level Preschool through 5th grade. All posts and entries must be submitted by Friday November 20th, 2020.

It is getting close to Christmas!! If you are in need of Christmas assistance this year, First Church is inviting our families to participate in the Christmas Shop. At the Christmas shop you will be able to purchase a variety of age- appropriate gifts for children ages birth through high school. All items are new and will be priced more than 80% off in-store prices. There will be Christmas activities available for your kids while you shop in the KidZone. First Church is also offering gift wrapping for free! All proceeds from the Christmas shop will be donated to partner schools. Please make sure to turn in your household income forms. Our school is participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program. The CEP provision is available to schools with a high percentage of economically disadvantaged students. Under CEP all students receive a breakfast/lunch with no charge for the entire school year. HOWEVER, to determine eligibility to receive additional benefits for your child(ren) you will need to comple a household income form. Please be sure to turn the forms in to your student's teacher or to the Goodridge Elementary front office, to ensure we recieve our state funding. This is our Goodridge Elementary Family Resource Page (FRC). The main goal of the Family Resource Center is to enhance children and students ability to succeed in school by assisting students and families in meeting basic, critical, and enhanced needs. We are here to help the students and families we serve, please do not be hesitate to reach out with any other requests or assistance, as we are here to help. The Family Resource Center assists families and students with clothing, shoes, coats, food, school supplies, and hygiene items. The family resource centers goal is to help families and students find the resources and services they need to be successful. Lending Library for Students and Kids

We have a variety of books of all levels for children to check out long term. Do your children love books but you can't afford to buy them? Do they want to keep books longer than the library allows? Visit the FRC library with them and let them choose a book.

Lending Library for Parents

Parents can access helpful books, brochures, and valuable literature on a variety of topics that interest them. We have books on single parenting, ADD/ADHD, Divorce, general parenting, etc.

Referrals

Referrals for child care, health services, social services, financial assistance, GED training, employment, etc. can be accessed through the Family Resource Center

Student Activities

A variety of cultural, recreational and educational activities are planned for students throughout the school year and the summer.

Parent Involvement Activities

Parent workshops, classes, and volunteer opportunities are offered frequently throughout the year by the Center.

Accepting Donations to Help Serve our Goodridge Students & Families:

If you would like to make a donation to the Family Resource Center you can stop by our front office anytime during office hours Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
