A healthy mixture of offensive explosiveness and timely defense has been vital to the Warriors hot start to the 2019-20 NBA season. That mixture again proved valuable, providing timely defensive stops while the offense punched when it mattered, propelling the Warriors to a 96-94 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Stephen Curry propelled the Warrior offense, scoring 35 points with five rebounds and six assists. D'Angelo Russell added 21 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Curry got the Warrior offense out of the gates with 17 first quarter points as the Warriors took a 30-28 advantage into the first break. The defense arrived in the second quarter, allowing just 12 points to the Thunder to build the lead to 51-42.
The Warriors lead 74-67 entering the fourth quarter, and were able to hold off the Thunder's rally in the fourth to seal the win.
Draymond Green had six points, 10 rebounds and six assists, the tenth 10-plus rebound game for Green on the season.
