Whether it was the toll of road trip or the second game of a back-to-back, the Warriors suffered one of their worst offensive performances of the season, shooting just 40% as a team and registering 24 team assists, as they fell to the Mavericks 117-105. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 30 points and D'Angelo Russell added 27.
While the offense struggled, so too did the Warrior defense as the Mavericks scorched the nets in shooting 58 percent (15-for-26) from beyond the arc. Golden State fell behind early in the first quarter, ending the frame down 36-22 and was unable to make up the difference.
Fast break offense and getting to the free throw line, both staples of the Warriors' success, also struggled to make an appearance, as they scored just 12 points in transition and were outshot at the free throw line 18 to 12.
The Dubs wrap up their four-game road trip on Friday night when they visit the Utah Jazz.
