Returning to San Francisco following a quick two-game road trip in Oklahoma City and New Orleans, the Warriors host their Pacific Division rival Phoenix Suns for the first of four straight home games in six days. The first of four meetings, this will mark the first time the Warriors and Suns will square off at Chase Center. A year ago, the Warriors took three of the four regular season meetings against Phoenix.
The Warriors claimed their first win of the season on Monday night with a 134-123 win against the Pelicans. Draymond Green tallied the 23rd triple-double of his career, scoring 16 points to go with 17 rebounds and 10 assists. With the win, the Warriors improved to 23-0 in regular season games in which Green notches a triple-double. The Suns have kicked off the season at 2-2, with an impressive 130-122 win over the Los Angeles Clippers and a pair of one point losses to Denver (108-107 OT) and Utah (96-95). Devin Booker has been pacing the Suns offense, averaging 22.8 points per game while hitting a third of his shots from deep. Without DeAndre Ayton, who is serving a 25-game suspension, the Suns have gotten production out of veteran big men Frank Kaminsky (14 points, 7.8 rebound) and Aaron Baynes (11.5 points, 5.0 rebounds). Newcomer Ricky Rubio has been key to the Phoenix attack, tallying 9.3 assists per game to go with his 10 points and 8 rebounds.
