Three-point barrage gives Warriors 141-100 win over San Antonio

To the tune of 55 percent shooting from beyond the arc, the Warriors rolled to victory over San Antonio, 141-100, sweeping the season series 4-0.

Jaylen Brown (28 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks) and Stephen Curry (25 points, eight assists and two steals) each had four three-point field goals a piece while the Dubs finished 18-for-32. Kris Dunn and Eric Paschall each ahd 17 points off the bench while Damion Lee added 16. The trio combined for 8-for-10 shooting from deep.

Daniel Gafford, getting his first start of his career, finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds while adding four assists and two blocks.

The worst of the Warrior three-point barrage came in the first quarter, where they shot 8-for-9 from beyond the arc.

The Spurs took the lead early in the first quarter, building up a six-point edge and holding the Warriors offense in check. Midway through the quarter, kicked off by an Eric Paschall three, the Warriors went on a 11-0 run, carrying the lead throughout the rest of the game.

San Antonio was able to hang around in the first half, keeping the distance hovering around 10 points and trailing by only 13 at the break. Using a 9-0 run early in the third, the Spurs were able to pull within eight, leading to a frustrated timeout by the Warriors. Golden State responded from there, going on a 19-4 run to end the quarter, including scoring the frame’s final 11 points and blowing the game open.
