In the midst of a testing stretch of games in which the Warriors are facing some of the NBA’s elites, Stephen Curry is propelling the Dubs to victory. Curry notched a 30-point, 11-rebound and 10-assist triple-double on Saturday, leading the Warriors to a 120-93 win over the 76ers on Saturday night.
Jaylen Brown added 22 points and 16 rebounds, his seventh game with at least 10 rebounds in 14 games since joining the Warriors. Ky Bowman, who has provided a valuable punch off the bench, added 17 points.
After playing to a first quarter tie, the Warriors built an 11-point lead headed into the break. The Philadelphia responded immediately in the second half, cutting the lead to three points midway through the third quarter. Glenn Robinson III (12 points, two rebounds, two assists, two steals) kicked off a 10-2 Warrior run, capped by a Curry 3 to send the lead back to double-figures. A 6-2 run by Bowman to end the frame gave the Warriors a 15-point edge headed into the game’s final 12 minutes.
Much like the third quarter, the 76ers kicked off the fourth quarter with another run, this of the 8-0 variety to bring the deficit to seven with nine minutes to play. The Warrior defense took over from there, holding the 76ers to just seven points over the game’s final seven minutes.
Kris Dunn continued his resurgence in Golden State, scoring 12 points off the bench while adding four rebounds, six assists, two blocks and two steals. Dunn has been a welcome surprise for Golden State, having seamlessly fit into the role Alec Burks had filled prior to the trade deadline.
Since joining the Warriors, Dunn has scored in double figures in 10 of 12 games, including the previous seven games, the second longest streak of his career. While Dunn has consistently served as the off-ball guard, his playmaking prowess is shining through, having registered six assists in four of the last five games while averaging 4.0 assists in 12 games.
The Warriors host the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night in a potential playoff preview.
