DOMINANT SECOND HALF LEADS DUBS TO WIN

Warriors score 75 second half points in 128-106 win

After a dormant first half saw the Warriors staring at an 11-point halftime deficit, the league-leading offense came out in full force in the second half. Backed by 69 percent shooting and an attacking defense, the Warriors outscored the Suns 75-42 in the game’s final 24 minutes, sending the Warriors to a 128-106 win on Saturday night, the team’s seventh straight win.

Stephen Curry led the Warrior attack, finishing with 28 points, six assists and a pair of rebounds. Jaylen Brown notched his sixth double-double with the Dubs, ending the night with 25 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.

Draymond Green, whose offense had been sporadic over the last few weeks, erupted for perhaps the most valuable offensive spark of the second half. Green ended the night with 21 points, his most since he scored 26 against Cleveland on February 1. Green added nine rebounds, three assists and a pair of skills.

In total, seven Warriors finished the night in double-figures scoring.

Phoenix built up a seven point lead in the first half thanks to 15 points from Ricky Rubio and 10 from Mikal Bridges. The Suns led by 11 at the break, but the Warriors quickly rallied back, going on a 22-3 run to take a seven point lead midway through the third.

After an Kelly Oubre Jr. three and Dario Saric dunk tied the game with 3:17 to play in the quarter, Green spearheaded 9-0 run, kicked off by a triple, his first three since February 1 against Cleveland. Green would add two more buckets, as the Warriors outscored the Suns by 21 in the frame, shooting 69 percent from the floor while holding Phoenix to just 31 percent.

Phoenix was unable to mount a serious rally in the fourth quarter as the Warriors hot shooting and lockdown defense continued. Curry had 10, while Brown and Jordan Poole added nine a piece, as the Dubs shot 69 percent, including 67 percent from beyond the arc. In the second half alone, the Warriors went 10-for-15 from three-point range, while holding Phoenix to 6-for-21 shooting from deep.
