As has been the normal this season, the Golden State Warriors used an impressive offensive stretch to power there way to victory, this time at the expense of the Orlando Magic. While the Warriors have made a point of patenting the third-quarter offensive onslaught, they wasted little time on Saturday night to make their signature run.
After falling into a quick 7-0 hole, the Warriors erupted, scoring 36 points over the next eight minutes while holding the Magic to just seven points, building a massive lead they wouldn’t relinquish en route to a 122-90 victory.
Stephen Curry tallied yet another double-double, scoring 30 points with 11 rebounds and four assists. Alec Burks, who supplied nine points in the dominant first quarter, finished with 19 points as six Warriors reached double figures in scoring.
One game removed from seeing a season-high seven players score 10 or more points against the Nuggets, the Warrior reserves stepped up yet again. While Burks led the way with 19, Damion Lee scored 13 points and Ky Bowman scored a season-high 10 points. Draymond Green put together a double-double performance of his own, scoring 12 points with 13 rebounds and six assists.
The Warrior bench was dominant throughout, outscoring Orlando 52-31 while holding court for the majority of the fourth quarter, a frame in which the Dubs outscored the Magic 26-18.
The Warriors look to tie their longest winning streak of the season as they visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night.
