The Snow Man is a Comic Opera written by Stanislaus Stange with music by Reginald De Koven. The show opened on March 18th, 1907 at the Majestic Theatre in Boston, MA. It was only planned for a run of two weeks, but the show was so successful it extended into April. The show went on tour until at The Lyric Theatre in Philadelphia, opening on April 15th, where the show closed. The Shuberts (the producers) had plans to revise the show and take it to Broadway, but the show remained closed.
