Two Water Mills

The Chertsey Cartulary(map) of 1432 shows two mills on either side of the Abbey River serving Chertsey Abbey and the local population until they were demolished after the Crown acquired the area at the Dissolution in 1538.

Not much to see there now so I have recreated them in spendid symmetry.
