This abstract looks down over Porthmeor Beach, although perhaps only the ripples in the sand and lines of deckchairs are vaugely recognisable. The wind surfer didn't make the final edit, but her red kite remains and the wash from the board lingers as a black line.

The frame was planned to compliment the image whilst the painting was being executed and represents a chaotic selection of the same items to portray the effect of tide on a beach.
